Best way to Improve your Posture

To improve posture, it is important to understand why posture is crucial for activities of daily living. Poor posture increases the risk of strains and pain, and causes weakness in muscles. To improve posture, change positions frequently, wear supportive shoes, and keep your head erect. While standing, some tips for proper posture include standing close to the work station, placing one foot on a step-stool, and keeping your stomach flat, with a natural arch in your lower back. While sitting, refrain from elevating the shoulders, keep your head erect, and keep your feet flat on the floor with your knees in line with your hips. To practice improving your posture, stand with your back against the wall, keeping your palms facing forward. Ensure to keep your knees soft and contract your abdominal muscles to keep a neutral spine. Also remember to relax the jaw and neck muscles by keeping your mouth closed and resting your tongue on the roof of the mouth.

Having good posture is a sign of confidence, beauty, and a healthy lifestyle. Not only is it more attractive than a slouched back but proper posture is also much more comfortable, healthier and extremely important. It is believed Good posture helps people stand, walk, sit, and lie in positions that place the least strain on supporting muscles and ligaments during movement and weight-bearing activities.
